Rockin’ all over the world

1968 when King Elvis made his famous comeback, a young redheaded talent called “Reddy” filled the lokal dance halls with his own Rock’n’Roll Band “The Pink Five” at age 15 ! “Reddy” was a name given to young Buffalo C. Wayne by his friends and fans, when ”Beat- Music” ,“Flower Power” and long hair were in style.
Wayne first studied to become a nurse. After having worked in hospitals for 5 years, Wayne went to art-school and became a graphic designer. Buffalo C. Wayne worked as a truckdriver, dee-jay, shop manager before he studied fashion design in Paris, France. For some years he successfully worked in the fashion business in Paris and New York.

In 1982 he put his first Buffalo Wayne Band, BWB together and started touring in the USA, Iceland and Europe. He started writing his own rocksongs in 1968. Ever since the man has played allover the world and alongside the greatest Stars in Rock-, Blues- and Country Music.

Behind the Scenes

Endowed with many inborn talents Buffalo C. Wayne likes songwriting;(Buffalo is a member of the “Nashville Songwriter Association” and CMA), drawing, painting, loves philosophic chats, movies, theatre and all styles of “good” music. 2000 Buffalo C. Wayne also became a producer and created his own label “Black Bison Records”.

US Music History

1979, Buffalo C. Wayne played in an English Pub in Luxembourg. It was there he met Texan Songwriter Lyle Lovett. They became friends and two years later Wayne who was in charge of organizing an American music festival at the national fair ”Schueberfouer”, invited Lyle to play at the festival. Buffalo C.Wayne also hired a Band from Phoenix, Arizona called J. David Sloan and the Rogues

The Band members were : J. David Sloan (Ex-Waylon Jennings and the Wailers), Matt Rollings (todays most wanted piano player in Nashville), Ray Herndon (today chartbreaker : (McBride and the Ride) Jeff Borree (famous Nashville session drummer), Billy Williams (famous guitarist, todays producer for Lyle Lovett) and Matt McKenzie (todays bass player with Earl Thomas Conley and other great Nashville Stars) .

Buffalo C. Wayne, “The Rogues” and Lyle became friends.

In 1984 Buffalo C. Wayne went to Arizona to play at the famous Phoenix Night Club “Mr.Lucky’s” and to record some songs with “The Rogues”. The same time Lyle Lovett set up a double feature tour for Buffalo and himself through the Texas Clubs and Music Scene and arranged a recording session for Wayne at “Texas Motion Picture Studios” in Austin. Buffalo C. Wayne passed on his session with “The Rogues” in Arizona to his friend Lyle Lovett for a later schedule. The recordings in Austin became Buffalo’s debut album named “The European Texan” and Lyle’s tapes with “The Rogues” lead to Lovett’s recording contract. Ten years later Lyle got married to Hollywood actress Julia Roberts he met on Robert Altman’s set of the film “Prêt à Porter” made in Paris, France.

Some promising careers and friendships got started in small Luxembourg, “deep in the Heart of Europe!”

In 1988 Buffalo C. Wayne’s longtime friend Dr. Abe Cheij from Nashville (close friend of Grand Ole Opry Director Hal Durham and guitar hero Chet Atkins) invited Buffalo to the legendary “Grand Ole Opry” in Nashville where Wayne got introduced to a cheerful audience by the King of Country Roy Acuff himself. Ever since “the European-Texan” (nickname given by Lyle Lovett and picked up by the US-Music Press) continues his successful concert tours all over the world.
Buffalo’s musical journeys brought him to : the USA : California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Russia, Lithuania, Denmark, Switzerland, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Italy, the Benelux and gladly accepts the recent organizers invitations from France, Germany Poland, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, UK, Australia…
The boys in the band are very much looking forward to be travelling around the world for you !
